ExOzone ® Technology 101

How It Works?

ExOzone® technology is based on high-frequency alternating electrode high-frequency cold charge emission with increased arc discharge © (EXpanded capacity with a limited  flashover  high-frequency COld Charge EMission with changed auxiliary electrode - EX.CO.C.EM.) principle. This process does not result in high temperature arc discharge, so the risk of fire can be eliminated, and it is able to produce extremely large amounts of ozone by using only ambient air to produce ozone.

How does it disinfect?

ExOzone® equipment uses the high-capacity fans to deliver the ozone produced to all points in the treated room, making contact between the organism to be eliminated and the agent. The three most important factors are treatment time , ozone concentration , and disinfection methodology .

How is it different from other ozone machines?

Unlike commercial ozone generators, ExOzone® technology does not produce ozone using ozone sheets or ozone tubes, but the individual EX.CO.C.EM. solution. Thanks to this self-developed technological solution, the ozone chamber in ExOzone® equipment is capable of producing large amounts of ozone from ambient air while consuming roughly two 100-watt light bulbs. Another advantage is that the ozone chamber does not require regular replacement unlike ozone sheets and ozone pipes.

Authorization

We started the joint work with the staff of the Hungarian National Center for Public Health (NNK) and the National Epidemiological Center in the beginning of 2014, starting with the testing of the disinfection capacity of the prototype, resulting the approval of the developed disinfection equipment. 

The technology was licensed by the NNK on May 19, 2021.

The test related to the issuance of the permit was based on the BSI EN 17272: 2020 standard.

method - disinfection of airspace and rooms by an automated procedure

determination of bactericidal, mycobactericidal, sporicidal, fungicidal, virucidal, antifungal and phagocidal activity.
